A huge congratulations to David and the entire LA Galaxy are in order (and very overdue) as they became the 2011 MLS Cup Champions last weekend by beating the Houston Dynamo 1-0 at the Home Depot Center. The winning goal was ultimately score by the Galaxy's Captain, Landon Donovan, but he was helped by both David and team newcomer, Robbie Keane.
Those of you who followed my Twitter last Sunday seemingly received a step-by-step recap of the game as I was overjoyed to watch David cap off an outstanding 5 years on top! I stayed up way later then I should have but it was all well worth it when you saw #23 proudly holding the MLS Cup!
So happy for all of you boys... especially David whose contract ending with the Galaxy couldn't have had a nicer finish. No word if David will resign with the Los Angeles based team just yet but I will definitely keep all of you posted!source: Zimbio
