As many of you know, last night was the prestigious 2011 British Fashion Awards ceremony which was held in London. Victoria Beckham attended the event and was nominated for two awards... the Designer Brand of the year and the Red Carpet award. Well, congratulations are in order as Victoria took home her very first BFA and won the Designer Brand category - beating the likes of Tom Ford, Stella McCartney and even Burbery!Victoria attended the awards with her proud parents, Tony & Jackie Adams. During her acceptance speech, the designer welled up with tears and while thanking everyone: "I'm so sorry for crying. I'm being so rubbish. I would like to thank the British fashion industry for your support. I'd like to thank my team, you all know who you are, your focus, your creativity, I couldn't do it without you. Simon Fuller, a dear friend and the best business partner that anybody could possibly ask for. My parents, my kids and my husband. Without David I wouldn't have had the courage to do what I am doing." Afterwards Victoria said she felt sheepish for becoming tearful, explaining: "I am so nervous, this means so much to me. I am overwhelmed."
Victoria was given her award by her close friend and fellow designer, Marc Jacobs.
Congratulations Victoria! We are all so proud of your accomplishments! This awards is very much deserved!!
