David Beckham on Galaxy Tour in Asia
David Beckham will make what may be a farewell tour with the Los Angeles Galaxy in the coming week in a trio of Asian games that have spawned local discussion about ticket prices.The Galaxy will play an Indonesian Select XI in Jakarta on Wednesday, followed by a meeting Dec. 3 with the Philippines national team in Manila, then a game against Australian club Melbourne Victory three days later.
Beckham is contractually obliged to play, and these may be his last appearances in a Galaxy jersey, with speculation ongoing about a move back to Europe.
The cost of tickets for the upcoming games had raised eyebrows in local markets, with fears they will be out of reach for poorer fans in Jakarta and Manila, in particular.
The last time L.A. Galaxy toured Asia was in 2008, when the team was met with some disappointing attendance. In South Korea, only half of the 66,000 seats at Seoul World Cup Stadium were occupied, and four days later in Shanghai, only about 10,000 fans bought tickets for the match.
Australia has been different however, with 80,000 fans turning out to watch the game against Sydney in 2007, while last year's game against Newcastle Jets was almost a sellout.
Indonesian organizer Mahaka Sports is hoping that sales for Wednesday's game will follow the Australia pattern, though there, too, fans of host Melbourne Victory have criticized ticket prices that start at $60.
Reports in the Jakarta media say 40,000 of the 76,000 available tickets need to be sold to break even, but only 20,000 have been sold.
Selling out the 13,000 capacity Rizal Stadium in Manila should be an easier task, although with the cheapest tickets available at $45, similar in price to the most expensive tickets at a recent 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Kuwait, there is no guarantee the arena will be full.
The former England captain's visit is a boost to the sport in the Philippines, where the national team is low-ranked and other sports command more attention.
"David Beckham is a crowd-puller and for him to come here is a big thing and people are excited to see him here," said Nonong Araneta, president of the Philippine Football Association. "It is not only good for football but for the country. Bringing a celebrity is good for the image of the Philippines."
In Melbourne, the game is being billed as a belated clash between Beckham and recent Victory signing Harry Kewell. The two were among the biggest stars in the English Premier League when their respective clubs, Manchester United and Leeds United, were fighting for major titles in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Congratulations Victoria - 2011 British Fashion Award Winner!
As many of you know, last night was the prestigious 2011 British Fashion Awards ceremony which was held in London. Victoria Beckham attended the event and was nominated for two awards... the Designer Brand of the year and the Red Carpet award. Well, congratulations are in order as Victoria took home her very first BFA and won the Designer Brand category - beating the likes of Tom Ford, Stella McCartney and even Burbery!Victoria attended the awards with her proud parents, Tony & Jackie Adams. During her acceptance speech, the designer welled up with tears and while thanking everyone: "I'm so sorry for crying. I'm being so rubbish. I would like to thank the British fashion industry for your support. I'd like to thank my team, you all know who you are, your focus, your creativity, I couldn't do it without you. Simon Fuller, a dear friend and the best business partner that anybody could possibly ask for. My parents, my kids and my husband. Without David I wouldn't have had the courage to do what I am doing." Afterwards Victoria said she felt sheepish for becoming tearful, explaining: "I am so nervous, this means so much to me. I am overwhelmed."
Victoria was given her award by her close friend and fellow designer, Marc Jacobs.
Congratulations Victoria! We are all so proud of your accomplishments! This awards is very much deserved!!

Baiastice, Baiastice, Baiastice!!
I am going to try and keep this post short, since I am fairly brain dead today. Hopefully, the pics can do most of talking. Although I will warn you that my graphic card is dying. This post is all about Baiastice. Sissy Pessoa, who is one of my all time favorite SL designers, has been releasing so much fabulous stuff lately. Unfortunately, becuase I am one of the slowest bloggers I know, I am just getting around to featuring some of these latest and greatest creations. Oh yes, there is much to come. Sissy just leaves me in total awe with her rich textures and artfully created sculpts. Her work is in a league of it's own. I am also especially excited by her new 'Jyo' boots. You can wear them with or without socks. If you choose to wear them with socks, there is a color change HUD, so you can make them any color you choose! How great is that? Lara Hurley is one of my top 3 favorite skin creators. Just when you think she has perfected her talents, she comes out with yet another amazing creation, who tops them all. This new skin is called 'Emma'. Now, what is really special about Lara's recent masterpiece, is that it comes with additional 'teeth' layers. For a minute, I completely forgot that the 2011 British Fashion Awards are going to be held in London tomorrow... which is why Victoria and Harper have already made their way there.

These lovely metallic heels were the result of a collaboration between designer Brian Atwood and VB and they were instant sell-outs the moment they first hit the stores and online shelves. Several high end stores had to restock several times just to keep up with the demand for them.
Brian Atwood originals are absolutely stunning and, if you ask me, well worth the $595 price tag. But some of us fashionistas still have a tough time spending multiple hundreds of dollars on just one pair of shoes. Well, we are in luck because Boston Proper designer Lauren James created a nearly identical version called the Blushing Party pump for $119.... these are currently reduced to only $99! While the majority of us were frantically braving the crowds and trying to get the first dibbs on reduced merchandise, Victoria and Harper Beckham looked as cool as cucumbers as they strutted through LAX and arrived at Heathrow Airport several hours later.
Victoria looked chic in a plaid top, nude skirt, and her Louboutin boots while Harper looked as adorarble as ever in a striped dress and Chloe tights.
Below is a photo of Victoria getting into an awaiting car after she arrives in London with her daughter.
