The Beckhams Stun at the Vanity Fair Party

David and Victoria Beckham were among the many celebrity attendees at the Vanity Fair post Oscar party. This is the first time in three years that David attended with Victoria. They both looked incredible! David was as handsome as ever in his suit and Victoria wore a dove grey gown from her fall 2012 collection with her favorite leather belt. One of my favorite looks so far this year!

More ~plank couture~ & Back to Black

Just in case you do not already know, there are only a couple for days left until the 'Back to Black' event ends (around 4pm SLT on the 29th). So, until then, you will see a ton of posts from me. Hopefully, these will act as a last minute reminder to get your butt over to the event venue and pick-up the awesome designer exclusives before they are gone!
For this post, I have another stunning'~plank couture' creation, called the 'Mmle Plume - Ophelia Swan Dress'. Aeon Perian's designs are so creative and beautiful. They are such a sight to see! If you are bored of the typical gown, Aeon's creations are just what the Doctor ordered. I am also wearing a gorgeous full back tattoo from [sYs]. I am not normally into tatts, but this was just too irresistible to ignore and was the perfect adornment for a backless dress. My hair is from [Shag] but you will be seeing more of that in my next post. I mean you can't really see here, but trust me, Sebastien Aries has not lost his touch for elegant and sexy styles. All of these designs can be found at Back to Black! Here are your limos:

I'm Trying To Catch-up...

I just wanted to apologize yet again for how behind I am. I am recovering from being pretty ill, plus I have had a lot of crazy RL stuff going on over the last few weeks. So, suffice to say, I had to put my blogging on the back burner and take care of things...not to mention myself. I will be working as hard as I can to catch-up. However, I also need to take care of my health, so I may not be able to crank out 2 posts a day. I may not be able to post everyday, but I will do my best. I am soooooo thankful to all the designers who have stood behind me. It really means a lot to me and I am so grateful for your understanding. I am also not angry at those who dropped me. I am sad, but I understand that every designer has different needs. I love you all regardless.
Anyway, in more exciting news, the fabulous Mimikri Kit went mesh! And let me just say, you would never know this was her first attempt. Her beautiful new 'Jada' suede pants and tanks are simply stunning! Mimi really is on par with her textures, which for me  is a huge issue with mesh. If a designer's texturing is poor, chances are their mesh creations look like bad polyester pants. Thankfully, Mimi's eye for detail helped her turn out these new mesh separates in style!
And, speaking of new mesh masters, I am wearing Truth Hawks other latest release (aka 'Barbabra'). Well, it was from last week, but I am still behind. So let's just pretend it is this week. Anyway, 'Barbara' is gorgeous with jaw dropping texture. She even comes with an additional prim attachment for more realistic movement. I think this is truly a brilliant idea, since movement is what is still missing from many mesh hairstyles. I also can not wait until mesh is re-sizable, because one size does not fit all (especially with mesh hair). Many of you may find you have to reshape your head, which I did quickly and poorly in the following pics. I was running behind, so I didn't have time to fuss with it :( For those of you who may not want to change their shape (trust me, Truth's hair is worth changing your shape for), please make sure you TRY A DEMO! There are still some kinks to worked-out with mesh, so make sure it fits before buying. Fortunately, SL technology moves fast, so mesh should be wearing better than ever in a few months. Enough with my babbling and on this pics and limos.....

NEW Interveiw and Pictures of David via H&M

His other half may have better style credentials, but David Beckham is about to start competing in the fashion game himself, as he enters the fray with his own-design ‘bodywear’ with H&M. It makes sense
– after all, his good looks and celebrity status have been selling other people’s garments for years...

Fashion writer Derek Blasberg meets him for H&M Life.

I like the idea of you having a business card that says “underwear designer”.
Yeah! I think I should have some made. I don’t have any cards yet, so thanks for the idea.

What? You’ve worked in fashion for years now; I can’t believe no one’s given you a card – so when did you start paying more attention to how people dress?
I’ve always liked fashion. I might not have always worn great stuff, but I always knew what I liked. I’ve definitely worn stuff that maybe someone else wouldn’t wear, but I wear what I think looks good.

Do you have a daily uniform?
Not at all. The only thing I do is set my outfit out the night before so it’s ready in the morning.

Have you been like that since you were a kid?
I suppose the very first thing I remember, when it comes to fashion, is when I was a pageboy at a family wedding. I had a choice between wearing some boring old suit, or a pair of knickerbockers with ballerina tights and slippers. I went with the tights.

Looking back on all of your sartorial decisions you’ve made, do you laugh about any of it now?
Me and Victoria wore matching black leather outfits once. They were Versace. That’s one where I look back, like, “What were we thinking?” We laugh about that one.

How did this collaboration come together?
I started working on a bodywear project more than a year ago. At the time it was just me and my team; there was no collaboration with anybody else. But, H&M heard that I was bringing out a collection and approached us, and it all came together.

How far along were you with your line?
We had product. We were a long way along. We had something physical to show H&M, and as soon as they saw the product they were like, “We’re in, we want it.” They took our ideas to another level.

Tell me a little bit about the design process. Did you sketch or work with prototypes?
That’s one thing about me – everything I’ve ever done, I’m involved. If I can’t be hands-on and totally involved, I don’t want anything to do with it. It’s something I’ve always done throughout my career. I don’t want to just give my name to someone to do whatever they want. I think H&M loved the fact that I was totally involved.

I know she’s got her own fashion career, but did your wife chime in when you were putting this together?
She saw the collection and she saw it on me. She loved it. We all loved it straightaway, because it’s so simple and well done. She’s definitely someone whose judgement I trust, and she does have an expertise.

Did you know Calvin Klein started in fashion before he moved on to underwear? Maybe you’ll do the reverse: Start in underwear, and then move into fashion.
Who knows? Five years ago, if someone had asked me if I was going to have my own underwear collection I would have said, “Probably not. No.” And if someone had said to me ten years ago that I would be playing soccer and living in America, I would have said the same thing. But plans change, life changes. So, we’ll see. I love tracksuits, I already have a collection with Adidas. Maybe in the future something else will happen.

You once said that you wanted to open a fish ‘n’ chip restaurant.
Was it fish ‘n’ chips? I think it was a pie and mash shop. But, since you’re an American, you probably don’t know the difference.

Now that’d be a killer business card: footballer, underwear designer, pie and mash shop owner.
And dad. And husband. But, not in that order.

In VB's Closet: Victoria Beckham Fall 2012 - #202

Victoria looked amazing last night at the GREAT reception in yet another fall 2012 piece. This time she wore dress #202, the banded back fitted dress. She paired the look with her new favorite peep toe boots and a spring 2012 clutch bag.

I'm obsessed with the back of this particular dress. It's open banded feature in the back is such a distinct contrast to the modest front. I also prefer the boots with this dress than with the blue one from Eva's party. And of course, I love her flowing hair!

To Eva Longoria's charity event on Thursday night, Victoria looked beautiful in the electric blue polo fitted dress, #190, from her fall 2012 collection. She paired the look with a leather belt, knee high peep toe boots, and a chic ponytail hairdo. This is the third look from this collection that she's worn since her presentation.

Love the color on her, I just wish she'd worn different shoes... not loving the boots very much.
